Ingredients:
- 50ml of Shenanigan Navy Strength gin (the ginniest you can find)
- a wee splash (approx. 10ml) of dry vermouth (because who needs it wet?)
- 1 dash of Angostura orange bitters (for that zesty zing)
- 1 olive (for garnish and a quick snack)
- Ice (the colder, the better)
Instructions:
- Chill the Glass: Stick your martini glass in the freezer for 10 minutes. This is non- negotiable. Nobody likes a warm martini. Plus, it gives you 10 minutes to contemplate why this drink doesn’t count as one of your five-a-day.
- Mix the Magic: Fill a shaker with ice. Add gin, vermouth, and a dash of orange bitters. Shake it like you’re dancing at your cousin’s wedding after one too many.
- Strain the Goodness: Strain the mixture into your now perfectly chilled martini glass. If you spill any, take a moment to mourn the loss.
- Olive the Puns: Garnish with an olive. Try to resist the urge to make a bad “olive you baby..!” joke. We know it’s hard.
- Sip and Smile: Take a sip and smile knowingly. You’ve just made a classic gunpowder martini with a twist of humour. Enjoy the drink, and remember, the only thing drier than this martini should be your sense of humour. Cheers!
